CBD Butter

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally extracted product from cannabinoid, discovered in 1940. It is believed and tested useful for reducing anxiety, cognition, movement disorders and pain. There are a variety of foods and beverages made by using CBD infused with general raw materials. A wide range of edible CBD products can be made if CBD and butter is combined. These products are believed to be useful to boost one’s mood or for a restful sleep.

CBD Products

A number of CBD products are available in the market nowadays, including topical balms, moisturizers, skin care products, CBD oil, etc. CBD is a product from the hemp plant made available with oil extraction, ethanol extraction or CO2 extraction. CBD normally is a light product unless it is accompanied by other cannabinoids. Another interesting product is CBD butter, which is obtained by following a simple cooking recipe. Butter is nothing but solidified oil and hence CBD infused butter is the best product to experience CBD’s full spectrum of beneficial effects. It helps to have a sound sleep, soothe discomfort and also reduce excitement or anxiety.

CBD Butter

Cannabis-infused butter or cannabutter or even CBD butter is one of the simplest and most common ways to make CBD edible. One needs to heat the hemp flower at a low flame to activate its psychoactive potential, if required. Unsalted butter is best for making cannabutter, but if you like salt, that can never be taken away. The entire procedure is explained below:

Sourcing Your Hemp: One should get hemp flower, which contains higher percentages of CBD and very low THC.

Decarboxylate The Flowers: In order to get pure CBD extracted from the hemp flower, one has to bake the chopped flower for making CBD butter. For decarboxylating the hemp flower, it has to be baked for 30 minutes to get a good amount of pure CBD.

Infuse The Butter: After decarboxylating the hemp flower, it has to be infused into the melted butter.  The temperature has to be kept low in order to infuse CBD into the butter. At a higher temperature around 350°F, the CBD will start degrading and at even higher temperatures, the butter will burn.

For vegans, if dairy is to be avoided, one can try the same recipe with coconut oil instead of butter. As an alternate dish, we can use the CBD butter to bake a variety of CBD infused baked goods like the CBD peanut butter cookie or even a CBD butter dressed popcorn.
